Oscar, bad bad sound.
Anyone notice the sound on the Oscars 80th birthday telecast. One of the delights in watching the Oscars is listening to the great orchestra working in the pits.
How those guys and gals turn their sheets and immediately get into the next piece with perfect cohesion and tempo is wonderful to hear. This year I'm afraid the sound was the pits, it was dreadful like a bad MP3 phoned in. And the choirs black vocalist had terrible sibilance more than I've ever heard in one song, and missed mic cues too. Sounds like the A graders in the audio truck were missing this year. After Cate missed out, I read a book. Cheers. |
