Feedback wanted.
Hi Guys,
Here are 2 stills i took from a music video i shot. I tried to create a low contrast image in camera so as to have maximum flexibility in post. I would like you to critique this image and tell me from your experiences if it worth while creating such an image in camera, or better to shoot with just standard settings. I am no editor, i just quickly did this on andrenaline to see what the results could look like. ( btw these have been down converted to SD) Feedback appreciated. Camera : HDX 900 with standard issued lens. Stil. |

Hi Stil,
You'd probably get a better response in the Open DV Discussion forum. Your question is not really AVID specific. That said, I would lean towards shooting a correctly exposed image as opposed to a washed out one. Why force yourself to correct? I don't think your test image gives you any more latitude in post than an image that looks good already... |
