Effects Shot Question....
I need to shoot a slow motion effect shot with the HVX200 in 60p mode to ultimately be inserted into a Liquid Chrome 720p 24p project / timeline (with principal footage being from the JVC HD110).
I have access to a FCP Studio 6.0 to process the slo-mo P2 media. Can anyone tell me how this P2 media should be converted in FCP and exported so that I can be inserted without probrems into a 24p Liquid Chrome timeline? Intuitively I would say create a 720 24p timeline in FCP, drop in the 60p, and then export the slo-mo Quicktime for import into the Liquid Chrome timeline. But I'm not sure what export settings or codec should be used for this Quicktime...in order for it to be Liquid Chrome 24p friendly. What codec does Liquid prefer in Quicktime files? Thanks in advance. |

Jon,
I know that Liquid supports 60p from the JVC 200 series and several people have had success with really smooth slo mo on it. I'm not too familiar with HVX 200 and P2 import on Liquid. But, you might try it. Mixing 60p into a 24p timeline in Liquid should work since your JVC 100 is really 60i with 24 fps flags. I bet the HVX 200 works the same way and converts 60i to 60p with flags. Good Luck
