16:9 from PC, via DSR 11 to monitor?
(Avid Xpress Pro 5.2.4. Canon XG A1, DSR 11 PAL.)
I have imported some 16:9 SD to my PC. While recordring I could watch the video via my JVC Hi resolution monitor. But when I try to watch the material from the PC via DSR 11 I get no picture. When I try another project in 4:3 I get the picture. What have I missed here? |

It's possible that your display doesn't understand the 16:9 flag embedded in the DV stream.
European widescreen displays use a different set of flags than North American ones. For 4:3, the flags are the same. Our Enosoft DV Processor will let you send DV to your DSR-11 and change the aspect ratio flags on-the-fly. You could try the different settings and see if the video appears on your display or not. (Note, for personal use, the software is free and has no time limits. You must have a CPU with SSE2 instructions - the installer will tell you if you don't - and Windows XP or Vista). |
