Upating AVID DV - anything I need to do first?

Hi gang,

I am upgrading my editing software from Avid Express 4.3.1 to Avid Express PRO. Is there anything I need to do to ensure that my old AVID projects are accessable on my new version of PRO?

I am copying over the projects folder from the old version and hopeing that the new AVID software will see them and with a few adjustments, have them still work. Is there anything else I need to do?

thanks
Ryan

Depending on which Version you're upgrading to, you MIGHT have some difficulties importing your user settings. Other than that, the projects will open right up, no problems.

That's great. I could care less about the user settings, as long as the thing will work! Thank you!

No sweat, I've upgraded... I think four or five times now. The projects just import into the new version and 'Bob's your uncle', they connect.
