Avid Xpress Pro - Help!
I am shooting a documentary - shooting with the FX1 - 1080i
I went to my school today to edit a five minute sample - it was amazing - but I cant burn it on a DVD They have Avid Xpress Pro HD - the editing worked smoothly - but I couldnt figure out how to encode/export so it looked just as good on a DVD Do I need specific software? I am new to this - please I need you advice! Colin Duerr |

Unfortunately, it is never going to look as good because what you are doing is downconverting from High Definition to Standard Definition.
I can tell you that this get's very complicated. Right now I have edited a Ten Minute piece shot on a Z1U and cut in Avid Express Pro HD. What I have done is exported a 10 one minute clips into a Quicktime Animation Codec. I then reassemble the in Adobe After Effects which I export into a MPG2 Clip. Someone else may have a better workflow but this is the best I can come up with to keep from encoding and reencoding several times. |
