Preview PSD file on Video Monitor
Looking for your guys' help since I am completely stuck and don't have much experience using AVID.
My office has Media Composer installed on a Mac Pro with the AVID Nitris DX. I have a photoshop file that I want to preview using the video monitor so I can correctly color grade. How would I go about doing this? Are there any tips or specific settings I have to use in order to correctly preview my .psd or .jpg file? (e.g. not embedding ICC profiles) Thanks in advance! |

Re: Preview PSD file on Video Monitor
I don't have experience with Avid on a mac, but generally you might want to first ensure the color space of your PSD/JPEG file matches your video monitor and project setting for accurate results.
My recommended workflow is as follows: 1. Convert PSD to uncompressed TIFF, with the color space of your project. Also watch out for the resolution of the image. 2. Import into Avid and treat it like any other footage.
