Sony Ex1 xdcam files to avid??
Hello,
i am looking to have a sony ex1 xcam camcorder and i want to know which avid can handle these files. I think Media Composer but who is the last one? |

If you are buying the latest version of Media Composer then you will have no problems at all with the EX footage and Avid. Just copy the BPAV folder to a hard drive and use AMA linking in Avid. Literally Avid does the rest which is basically nothing except make a bin since both Avid and the EX use MXF's.
Since xpress isn't sold anymore and I'm sure you are not getting a Symphony you can't really go wrong with getting the wrong Avid. |

I think media composer 3.5 introduced AMA, you should be set.
