moving audio tracks up in timeline
Hi all,
I'm new to Avid MC and I'm running into a few issues. They're simple ones mainly, but I'm a native vegas user and I'm finding the 'Avid way' a little frustrating at times. I used the trimmer function in Vegas, so I'm used to the trimmer and source monitor function in Avid, but I find editing in the timeline counter-intuitive. I've been working in Avid for about 3 weeks and imagine that cutting a feature would be much easier than it would be in Vegas, because Avid is so well organised. That said, I find cutting short montage sequences for showreels and promos much harder. I suppose I'll get there in the end! so here is a simple question: lets say I have 2 video tracks and two audio tracks: V2 V1 A2 A1 is it possible to move the audio tracks up so the layout looks like this?: V2 A2 V1 A1 I'm sure it is easy but I can't figure it out Cheers, Glen Last edited by Glen Maw; April 30th, 2009 at 04:17 AM. Moving timeline tracks
Hey Glen, it is easy...from the MC Help under Tracks>moving in the Timeline...
"Press and hold the Ctrl key (Windows) or Option key (Macintosh), click the Track button for the track that you want to move, and drag the track to its new position." Then check out "saving a customized timeline view"... Best of luck, Jeff |
