Effect to Lengthen Clip?
I'm using MC 3.1.1 w/ BCC and Boris Red. I have a clip that I'd like to use as cutaway, but it's too short. I'm wondering if there is a way to lengthen the duration of the clip by using an effect?
Because I don't need the audio and the movement is pretty generic, slowing down the clip by a certain percentage to lengthen it should work. But I'm not sure how to do that or if it's even possible with the tools I currently have. I looked at the Timewarp effect, and that might be right area for me to start at, but it's very confusing to me. |

Peter,
There are 2 speed type Motion Effects (the slanted frame ICON). If yo drag the motion effect icon to your source monitor controls from the command palette, it launches the regular or old style motion effect. In the record monitor, is the time warp effect. Basically you want to use the regular motion effect. In the interface there is a check box for fit to fill. Mark in and out on the record side and one mark in the record where you need to start. Click fit to fill and it automatically sets the percentage of speed that it needs to slow down or speed up. Let me know if you have any more questions, David
