I hate to be negative, but there really isn't much of substance or new in the press release or the workflow, AFAICT.
The SDK has been available for about a month. Even qualified individuals can get a copy of it from Red. Avid had been saying that SDK wasn't available when it was. The workflow shows third-party tools and EDL imported into DS. How is that new? What is promising is that Avid is making official announcements re: Red, so more will be coming down the road. |

I agree that there's not much details in the release. Regarding the SDK being available, it took ages for some hdv and hd codecs to be supported so i'm almost a bit surprised that they are getting faster in implementing new stuff.
I'm also looking forward to see whats to come with RED/AVID. |
