Problem importing video

I have received some HD video to edit that was captured as mpeg files in Premiere Pro. When loading them into Avid Xpress Pro, it only loads the first 24 minutes of the video. I have tried this on several of the files and it happens to each. I tried to import the file into Vegas and there were no issues. I can use VLC to view the files on the same computer and it also reads them all the way through. The file size is 10.2 gigs. I'm also doing this in a Mac Pro.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like your drive is FAT 32 which has a 4 Gb file limit. It's a OS/drive format issue.

You might need to edit your MPEG clips down to cut down on the file size. I believe you can shorten them in MPEG Streamclip.
