Can i use the avid mojo sdi with Final cut studio 2, just to capture without any software

for all intents and purposes - avid and FCP are completely different animals.
FCP is quick time based and Avid uses its own OMF/XMF file system.

Yes - there are 3rd party programs that will facilitate going back and forth.
But basically - avid stuff won't work with FCP and visa versa.

The FCP "equivelent" of the mojo is this
