Xpress Pro installation junk at DVinfo.net

I am trying to decide whether I like Avid Xpress Pro 5.6 (software only) or not... so I installed it on a PC. But I noticed it installed 5 other programs, FIVE of them!!!

Avid codecs LE
Avid DIO runtime
Digidesign audio drivers
Interlock driver kit
Sentinel protection installer

What is it that I really need and what can I uninstall – I only use it for basic SD and HDV editing, no audio work, no external devices or fancy video cards. I hate to install junk on my computer.

Hi Ervin,

Just keep those items and don't worry about them. They are integral to Avid and only use a very small amount of drive space.
