AVCHD camcorders

Has anyone tried or seen anything recorded with these new AVCHD cameras from Sony, JVC and Panasonic?

I am curious about how do they behave as compared to HDV.

I don't know if I agree with such moving, because my question is about how would AVCHD images mix with HDV ones. Both in editing and image quality.

I wonder how many people on this forum are familiar with the Z1.

You asked how it compared to HDV, not the Z1. Comparison with other single-chip camcorders like the HC1,3 & 7 seems reasonable.
