Help! AVCHD 50p to FCP 7

Okay, I'm just feeling my way with this as I've just bought the Panasonic 6G.

I've shot some footage at 50p and would like to use it in my 25p FCP timeline. I've used Clipwrap to change it to an MOV file, and when brought in to the project it is shown as 50p. However, when I reduce the speed by 50% and render it seems to create 'intra frames' (not sure if this is the correct term!).

I also have Premiere Pro on another laptop and it directly imports the file and slows the footage down perfectly. I probably could export from Premiere Pro but would prefer to keep all my workflow on the one computer.

Any help or suggestion are greatly appreciated.
