AVCHD and netbooks?
With netbook capabilities ever increasing and many now having SD card slots, it's becoming an intriguing cost-effective option as a travel network and data mule. I currently have an ooooold Dell D410 with PCMCIA slot that I've been using for P2 footage, and the one downside is that it doesn't have the umph to play HD footage.
Do today's netbooks have enough horsepower to play back AVCHD, or will I still be stuck unable to review footage in the field? |

Re: AVCHD and netbooks?
I can play back avchd on my netbook, can even edit HDV and general HD when transcoded to cineform.

Re: AVCHD and netbooks?
My Rim Playbook can playback AVCHD stuff, though I can't transfer direct from camera to tablet, I still need to use an intermediate computer to handle the transfer.
