Getting video from a CX360 to a Mac
HELP!
I recently bought a Sony CX360V The problem is, I can't figure out how to get the video from it onto my Mac. I want to just get at the files directly and copy them to the hard drive like I do with video from my 60D DSLR, but I can't find any way to do that. Any ideas? The instruction manual is less than helpful and the disc that came with it is Windows only. |

Re: Getting video from a CX360 to a Mac
I'm not a Mac guy, but I think you have to do it from within iMovie or FCP, and I think you have to do it directly from the camcorder. That's the only way my kids' friends have been able to do it with my cams.
But I also think I have heard of some people having success if they copy the entire AVCHD directory over to their Macs, which copies all the metadata along with the actual clips, which are in different sub-directories.
