Kingston SDHC card not recognized
Half way through a 4th of July shoot the brand 32gig class 6 Kingston SDHC Card became "incompatible" and now neither computer, the Mac or Windows 7 will recognize it. The camera is a HMC 150 and I formatted the card in the camera. I guess my question is: Is there a way or some software that will get the card recognized and maybe recover some of the video?
Kingston is off my list of cards I will buy in the future (they have not returned my e-mail asking for help). Any suggestions or am I out of luck? Thanks, Dan |

re: Kingston SDHC card not recognized
Welcome aboard, Dan. Sorry about your troubles. I've been using Kingston SDHC cards for awhile now without any issues. One possible culprit might be that the card isn't a genuine Kingston, as fakes of the major brands abound everywhere... it kind of depends where and how you bought it.
You might try the demo version of Image Recall and see if that helps: ImageRecall 5 - Photo Recovery - Digital Photo Recovery Software and Photo Recovery Service |

Re: Kingston SDHC card not recognized
I got it at Fry's here in town, Kingston has always been good to me I have used their stuff to upgrade computers many times and find them very good. I am disappointed in their lack of response.
Thanks for the suggestion I will give it a try. |
