Best Way To Record An Trip

Hello. I will travel in a months, and i bought an HG21 CANON HD CAMCORDER (i did not received yet...) for that trip..

I would like to get opinions about how the best way to register the images. As i read, the 24 frames options records in 60i file correct? So, is the best way to get the best cinema look images and record and finalize it in video? (like blu ray ou avchd discs)

Or, i record in 30p mode (real 60i?)?

Thanks ..
