1080 50p
Excuse my lack of understanding if the the answer is obvious. I have a sony pmw 300 which only records 720 50p in full hd. Can you record direct through to camera to an atomos device 1080 50p whilst the camera is set at 720 50p

Re: 1080 50p
Sorry no. The short answer is the Atomos and BMD recorders do not up-convert they will only record the format that they are supplied with. If you put some kind of hardware up/cross converter between the the camera and a 50p capable recorder then you could manage it but that's not a really practical solution.

Re: 1080 50p
Also, you are not going to get 1080 50p off the sensor on the camera. The sensor is optimised to doing regular 'proper' HD video very very well.
