Ninja 2 and FS700 - trigger record?

Hi all - I'm trying to set up my Ninja with my FS700 to trigger record when I hit record on the camera. Any ideas what I need to do to achieve this?

Re: Ninja 2 and FS700 - trigger record?

Not sure with the Ninja but with the Samurai Blade you set it up under the 'Timecode' selection of the menu. I would imagine the Ninja would be similar.

Basically on the Blade there is a menu item called Time code. Under that there is a selection called Camera Trigger> Select 'Sony' out of the tap through selections. Next menu item is called Source> Select HD-SDI here and hopefully you should be set to go. These are the settings I use on an FS700 and the Blade starts / stops from the camera's stop /start timecode trigger coming down the SDI line.
