And a handy link....

Ninja Blade Firmware | Atomos

Am surprised that I, as a registered user, didn't get an email telling me about the update..

Downloaded the 5.11 update. Followed their install instructions to the letter using a fresh formatted drive... didn't work!

Will have to contact them tomorrow.

That's weird. I put it on a non-freshly formatted drive, inserted the SSD, booted the unit, and it went right to updating. Then it shuts off automatically. You have to turn it back on and then verify the firmware number.

Perhaps you should try re-downloading the firmware. Sometimes downloads get corrupted.

Doh! My bad. I already have the latest software on board for a 'Samurai' Blade. That's v5.1. The Samurai didn't want to look at the Ninja firmware. Must learn to read slower!

Re: Atomos anucement 5.11 update on Ninja Blade

Update worked fine for me. I unzipped the file before I copied it over to my SSD. Whole process took about 3 minutes and after power down I booted up the Ninja Blade and it confirmed all had worked/gave me the new menu options and firmware version details as expected.

The new Samurai Blade firmware update should be out in a week or two.
