New Atomos FW 3.01 "FID:"
Hi...I updated my Samurai to Firm Ware version v.3.01. After successfully updating my Samurai unit I checked the >Menu >Samurai Info and noticed the 'FID:' number is preceded by four question marks, '????'.
I don't remember it being that way before the FW update? Anybody have the same experience? I've sent this question to the Atomos Support Desk; pending a response. Regards, J. |

Re: New Atomos FW 3.01 "FID:"
Hi James,
We've added 'FID' (Firmware ID) in 3.01 to aid support in identifying the firmware that is running on a customer's unit. The version number describes the AtomOS package as a whole, the DID and FID provide information about the sub-components of the AtomOS package. Kind regards, Ivan Radley Atomos |

Re: New Atomos FW 3.01 "FID:"
Thanks Ivan! I appreciate you sharing your insight.
I just received an email from Jenny Pitts, confirming that the question marks, '????', are in-fact a numbering convention. My fear was I had done something incorrectly during the 'down-load' and I wasn't sure if the four question marks were an 'error message' or a normal numbering convention. Thanks for straightening me out. Best regards, J. |
