ATOMOS Samurai FW v. 3.0 - Brighter Touch Screen?
Greetings to all...when I first down-loaded the new FW v. 3.0, I immediately noticed the 'touch-screen' was brighter. I didn't know ATOMOS could do that with the FW? They mention in their latest ATOMOS-Samurai brochure, dated April 2012, "The Samurai replaces your current monitor with sharper images, better direct sunlight performance,...".
I guess I can confirm, ATOMOS has made the Samurai's 800x480 screen brighter. I wouldn't go as far and say, the 'touch-screen' can be used in the direct sunlight without a viewfinder shade, but it is better. Best regards, J. |

Re: ATOMOS Samurai FW v. 3.0 - Brighter Touch Screen?
FYI...I also noticed the image on the Samurai screen is ~1/8" (~1/16" top and bottom) smaller overall, but much brighter. I like v. 3.0, I only wish they had included Avid DNxHD.
