Samuri spare battery problem...
I have just bought two new Sony NP 550 7.2V batteries as extras for our Samuri.
My problem is that the Samuri does not seem to recognize the batteries, despite them being fully charged. The unit will just not power up. The Samuri manual suggests that any Sony 'NP' type batterry of 7.2V or greater should work. Also, the batteries were recommended as sutable for the Samuri by the dealer who supplied the Samuri originaly (and they usually know what they're talking about.) Can anyone help on this? Is there something relating to Sony batteries I'm not doing? Thanks |

Re: Samuri spare battery problem...
I have used a SONY NP 530 with out any problems other than it does not last as long but that is because its only 1350mAH Samurais are close to double that. What is your mAH on the ones you are using??

Re: Samuri spare battery problem...
Scott & John...I have used both the ATOMOS supplied NP series batteries, some OEM NP970 (too, big) and some NP970 knock-offs that all seem to work. The key is to get the most mAh for the Buck, Pound, or Euro. Heh, heh!
This is probably a stupid question, but you did make sure at least one battery was in 'slot 1'? Regards, J. |
