Re: Samurai Problem

Eric...hmmm? V. 2.8 was suppose correct the 'color banding' issue along with several other issues. I feel your pain, man! Using equipment you don't have confidence in is not fun. I haven't had any of the problems you are experiencing, I suspect it's because I haven't used mine as much. Please let the group know how things are proceeding.

Best regards,

J.

Re: Samurai Problem

The problem now is not the product, in this case the Samurai, for it a well designed and easy to use item. What the issue here is, suppliers who are dealing with customers who are not just Joe public. We are consumers who do what we do for a living and as such our experience should count for something. If I had bought a tv in Costco, which I did recently, and had a problem I would have taken it back explained the issue and received a replacement with no hassle. In this case its a different story. When I ordered the Samurai initially I was supplied with an incorrect cable which took me numerous phone calls plus emails with attached photos to convince the supplier that they had made a mistake. To me this gives a clue to the mind set of this particular company who I hasten to add have been excellent in past. What it has boiled down to is; I have experienced a number of issues with the particular unit I purchased and raised a red flag both with the manufactures and the suppliers. The suppliers have bench tested the unit and found nothing....so we have an en-pass, one persons word against another. I had hope to replicate the problems this weekend and document them but the shoot we had planned for today was cancelled due to adverse weather..... tbc
