Worlds largest non-military lens

1700mm f/4, weighing in at just over 560 lbs. No joke, it's on the Zeiss website. It's designed for MF cameras - but I'll bet somebody would come up with a mount to adapt it for Canon or Nikon.

u wanna see some crazy stuff, throw on a canon 100-400L IS USM to a H1 with an EF adapter and youve got a 2880mm range...

it's more bomber than most people realize, and the picture was snapped in about 30 seconds. the lens mount is very solid, if there's a weak link at all, it's in the adapter, which canon could have made way better, considering the applications....

First visit to area 51 months. curiously just what lens is that, looks sima finish like.
could have used it to film some white tailed deer this evening, just out of reach.
