Well, two obvious ones are:
-HD DVD Players...probably Blueray. I think Apple is going to have these as internal drives soon...probably this Spring. The HDTV market is severely slowed until these come out...and it will happen soon...I hope. -A HUGE amount of video content that floods iTunes...which Apple will actually break into it's own application, I think. iWatch or iVideo or something else. I can't imagine the other networks are sitting there hearing about how NBC is making a bunch of money off of old content and not get something together themselves. I would guess Comedy Central, MTV, VH1 and a bunch of others will soon jump whole heartedly into the iTunes model of selling on-demand content. KW |

I predict we'll see a trend where HDV camcorders ditch the tape mechanism and record directly to a DVD, Blue-Ray or HD-DVD disc. With a smaller trend of camcorders that come with a built-in hard disks.

Canon GL3/ GL H1 Etc..
I predict that Canon won't do a damn thing at CES when it comes to prosumer, they are still riding on the XL H1 wave and unless you have access to the "secret room" at CES (and if you did you won't be saying anything here) then we'll have to wait until later this year for their new FX 1 killer or whatever product they are going to go after... how's that!

My prediction: RED will be the talk of NAB, overshadowing many of the other announcements.
