There's some evidence of a March 2nd announcement - a flyer from Italy for a "breakfast with EOS" and a stage being built in Shanghai. However, there are no major press invitations yet...
Friday seems a strange day for such an announcement. We will see...

I'm not sure at 22MP how different it'll be from the 5DII. But something tells me they'll also bring out a 40MP variant - they have to.
