Matrox MXO2 for input as well w. AVID Media Composer V.6!
JUST spoke with an unnamed individual (whom I know and trust) at my local pro shop. My beef with possibly migrating to Media Composer from FCP was that AVID doesn't "play nice" with 3rd party I/O manufacturers like Matrox...
Well... APPARENTLY this is going to change this fall! According to RUMOUR, that is... Word is that Version 6 (64 bit and due this fall) will support full I/O from Matrox devices. On Mac AND PC. Initially the MAXX technology may not be supported. I may finally have a crossgrade path! Signed, An FCP (NOT FCPx) editor since version 1.0.2 on OS 8.6 CH: If this was discussed somewhere else, I didn't see it. EDIT: Before anyone says anything, I know AVID will OUTPUT using an MXO2mini but not input. This is supposed to be support across the entire MXO2 line... Rumour has it...
