Vuvuzela overdose
Any suggestions for an antidote to 90 minutes of (slightly sharp) Bb after watching any World Cup game?
I'm beginning to have nightmares about being chased by angry hornets and hear the damn things for hours afterwards, even when trying to monitor audio through headphones. To quote Laurel and Hardy "Horns! HORNS!" |

Some passages from pieces by Gyorgy Ligeti's of the 1960s sound similar so I try and imagine it as radical music. It is at least a distraction from England's woeful showing, though I guess this is probably not a concern for you!

Because they are nearly all pitched to the same frequency, an analog 30 channel graphic equaliser in the chain would probably help in notching them out. I wonder if the broadcasters have not already tried because surely they must be driving the commentators quite insane.

This is very funny re vuvuzelas - it's in German but that really doesn't matter if you don't speak the language: YouTube - Vuvuzela-Konzert |
