New Canon 1080p24 XL3 camcorder
New 1080p dispalys, new Panasonic prosumer 1080p camera, new JVC pro HDV camera with 38 Mbps and 2/3" chips. Canon may be last in HD game but there is no reason for Canon to come with dated technology, it must be at least little more advanced than competition. My bet is it will be 1080p. 1080p25 takes same bit rate as 1080i50, so 25 Mbps HDV is enough to handle it. They may call it Super HDV or whatever, just like JVC calling their 24p HDV ProHDV.
