Sony's next HDV camcorder???
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know it may a little too early to predict but it seems fun to guess as it was guessing the Z1's specs before SONY officially announced them. But, what does everyone expect Sony's next step with HDV camcorders to be. IMO, I think since the FX1 is the HD equivalent of the vx2000/vx2100 and the Z1 is the equivalent of the pd150/pd170, I assume Sony's next step would be to release a HDV equivalent of the DSR250. For those who don't know, the DSR250 is a shoulder resting dvcam camcorder with the same ccds as the pd150 but is capable of using full sized dv and dvcam tapes as well as minidv/dvcam tapes. I'm guessing this is Sony's next foray. Unless Sony fears that HDV versions of the dsr250, dsr390, and dsr570 might hurt their sales of their higher end HDCAM camcorders. In which case they'll make HDV equivalents to the trv950 and pdx10, instead. What does everyone think??? Ozzy |
