Talk of firmware release on Monday
[Note: Link removed by Admin]
Obviously not gospel truth... but interesting, none the less. No mention of whether the firmware will have anything to do with video (or any details, for that matter). Let's pray to the Canon gods that this is true and will bring the much needed manual control and/or 24/25p |

Remember, on DV Info Net, rumors go to Area 51 so as not to be confused with facts.
A firmware update issued this soon will *not* be what you're expecting, so don't get your hopes up needlessly. |

It most assuredly has to do with the "black dots" issue on highlights in photos. Anything video related will probably just be a bonus. I really think this release would be an emergency fix release.

Sorry, didn't know that.
BTW - a 25p framerate is, or should be, considered an emergency fix for anyone in Europe (me!). |

Oh, I agree! 25p, 24p, manual exposure control... all emergency needed fixes. :)
