Anyone know how much the M2 weighs? at DVinfo.net

Hi guys,

I've been searching far and wide on the interweb to find out how much the M2 redrock adaptor weighs, but to no avail.

So does anyone know?

I'm looking at a fairly inexpensive crane designed specifically for the Canon XL2, but it can only hold an 8lb camera.....the XL2 alone is 7.8 (fully equipped mind you) and I'll be using mine with the M2 plus extra lens.

So conversely, does anyone have any ideas on reducing the XL2's weight to make up for the adaptor? I could lose the viewfinder and on camera microphone, but would that really make much of a difference?
