Redrock M2 adapter on canon xl1 or xl2
well i searched the forums and haven't found my answer yet. i have an XL1s and plan to purchase an Redrock M2 adapter kit for it. i was wondering on what i should get and how it is setup? does anyone have some pictures of their setups with an XL1s or XL2? i am also worried about this image flip from the use of the M2. What are the ways to fix this? do i need to use the stock lens with the adapter? can i use a 16x manual lens?
Thanks, Mike |

Hi Michael
You may want to check the Redrock forums as there's lots of information there. For those two cameras you'll want and SD bundle (the specific bundle depends on the type of lens mount you want to use, such as nikon, canon, etc.) you will also want a shim kit. Also, for the XL series the 16x standard lens is fine. it bulges out a bit so you will also want to have a 72mm uv filter to protect it. Regarding flip, we have announced microX which is our flip module, for release later this Summer. in the meantime the most popular approach is to get an on-camera monitor. You can also flip the viewfinder screen within your XL camera. Cheers Brian
