Success w/ Which Follow Focuses?
I've been looking at a few sub-$900 Follow Focus units for my SGPro/35mm setup.
What follow focus system(s) are you using with you mini35 adapter? I'm looking at these : IndiFocus : http://indifocus.com/ Redrock Micro FF : http://redrockmicro.com/mff_product.htm Cavision FF : http://www.cavision.com/followfocus/singlewheel.htm The IndiFocus is by far the cheapest, but the website/photos look a bit suspect. Can anyone recommend the Redrock or Cavision systems? Are there any other systems that would work well? Thanks! |

I use the IndiFocus and it works pretty well. It doesn't look like a precision unit (and doesn't work like one I guess, it uses the loose gearbox that RedRock used for a while that had a 2 degree play between changing directions) but it gets the job done, especially for the price.

Did you get any lens gears with the IndiFocus or did you get some from another source?

Most of mine are from RR although I do have one from Dan D.
Who, by the way, offers a really great FF unit for $900: http://www.dandiaconu.com/newweb/mpff.htm EDIT: oh, what a shame. he's only offering it to his 35mm adapter customers.
