Brevis/HVX low light with Canon lenses
Here are a few clips (H.264 compression) from a dramatic project I'm working on. We're using the HVX at 720 24pN. The director wants a darker look. I was initially afraid that using the HVX, which is notorious for not performing well in low light, in combination with the Brevis (which loses about 1 stop) would produce unusable images. In fact it looks pretty good, and these clips have not been treated. I suspect that with some CC and deepening of the blacks in post the footage will look great. I used a Canon 85mm 1.8 and a Canon 50mm 1.4 for these shots. I'm not an editor, this is not a finely edited sequence and was put together only for demonstration purposes. See it here:
