I've flown the Mini35 on a few different size rigs. Obviously there is a major difference in weight between different flavors of adaptor, but the trick is to make sure that your total payload is within the weight limit of whichever model Glidecam you are thinking of.
The biggest issue facing users at this level is that the "set and forget" or autofocus methods of focusing when using stabilizers with DV cameras is no longer relevant; the focus must be attended to otherwise you are extremely limited in the kinds of moves you can do with a fixed focus. You can't use a conventional follow focus as it would disrupt the balance of the stabilizer. Radio control focus devices start at around $4500 for a single channel and motor. I'm sure that eventually someone will come out with a cheaper setup for this market but for now that's where it lies.
