Letus Magnification

I was one of the first producers to adopt the Mini35 and I'm about to get the new Letus HD100.
Knowing that this version multiplies the FOV by 1.9x, I was wondering if this was unique to the HD100 version as I've never heard anything on the boards regarding the lack of wide angle availability with the Letus.
Using my set of fast Nikons from the Mini35 for instance, my 24mm f2.0 will be an actual 45mm lens and my 50mm f1.2 a 95mm.
Is this what other users experience?

I'm not user of Letus. But lack of wide angle is definately problem for me. And it's true that most of people just don't let bother about that. Most 35mm adapters seem to use academy frame for imaging so You have to multiple with 1.6 Your lens FL. That shifts Your lens choice pretty much to long FL side. I touched this subject earlier as well.

Well not in my experience. As I said, I produced with the Mini35 from their first generation and the Mini35 reproduces the exact FOV of the 35mm lens attached - whether it's a PL mount Cine prime or a Nikon still lens.

My question remains though - do the other Letus models have a true FOV or ais the 1.9x only now because of the direct mount with the HD100 (and I'm assuming with the Letus XL as well).

Quyen...anyone?

Mini35 will have similar magnification on HD100 adapter if using SLR lenses. I can build you an adapter for HD100 that has the same FOV of SLR lens but the adapter will be much longer. The magnification on my current HD100 is close to the 35mm cine lens, thanks.
