Regarding the Indi Focus, Tim is sending me a gear to swap out for the foam wheel and also 3 lens gears, which he said will fit my Canon FD SLR lenses. So, since I've had the Indi Focus for a few days, I can tell you it is well made and the action is very smooth. I am looking forward to the gear-on-gear as it will be much more precise and will eliminate slipping.
So, the Indi Focus system with the gears at right around $400 is a great way to go, if you ask me.
