dumb question:
i am thinking of purchasing a Sg 35 or letus 35mm adaptor. (here it comes) i also have some old cameras that belonged to my grandfather which i could use to attach to the adaptor. The problem is i don't know what attachement to request because i don't know the differences between them. is this clear?
thanks |

You need to know the brand of the camera body for which the lenses are designed. A Nikon camera body needs Nikon-mount lenses. Naturally, a Canon camera will require Canon-mount lenses. If you don't know which camera they are from, post some pictures of the back of the lens and maybe someone can tell you what they are.

If you have different cameras, pick the fastest lens. It's the f numbers printed on the front ring of the lens. F 1.7 is regular, but F 1.4 is faster and gives a bright image. Higher than F 2.0 can give problems with hot spots and light loss.
