Just want to say
I love you all. These adapter designs are giving me the ability to truly express myself the way I want to onscreen and let other people know how I feel. You, as fellow filmmakers, probably understand the liberating feeling that comes with people taking your footage seriously.
Thanks again chaps.

I agree. I just picked up a used 50mm lens today to try out with the Leus. The low-cost options that these adapters open up are quite phenomenal. This is awesome, exciting stuff and a really great forum.

We all love you all, or is that impossible? Should it be: we all love us all?
But your statement isn't a goodbye is it Ben? |

Haha, a goodbye? Hardly--I'm just getting started with this adapter! In fact I'm working on a music video right now and should have it done and shown to you guys within the next two weeks. Neat stuff.

I decided to get a 35mm adapter and lenses with my funds instead of trying to get an HDV cam first. Even with the absurdly low resolution of a cropped SD image, it still looks good. It looks like...art. As much as I like the Sony FX1, I know now with certainty that 35mm lenses and DOF manipulation are more important than HD. Finally, a tool/toy that really helps the cinematographer with artistic creativity. Plus, I get to start using filters again! Yay! My almost-permanently affixed wide angle adapter on my VX2000 got in the way of filters.
If I get my adapter working anywhere near as good as I think it should, I have a bunch of pioneers to thank. Mahalo! (thanks in Hawaiian) |
