Can't Focus on Infinity

Ok evryone so I went out to shoot for the dv challenge. And I had everything perfect. I had my adapter working perfectly and all my actors ready. Anywho so I managed to not fasten the adapter on properly and it fell off in the dirt :(. Anyway so I checked it and cleaned it and I was lucky becuase there were no scratches. But now all of a sudden I can focus on objects further than say 15 feet away. I tried twice putting it back together like I had it and i could not manage to focus farthre than 15ish feet. What could cause this?

Sounds like the GG plane has shifted, probably closer to the lens...be the first thing to check.

The GG plane has been shifted further from the lens.
