DVX100A/Mini35 Scene Setting Advice?

Hi Everyone,

Shooting a short in low-key situations next week. I was wondering if people like to play with the DVX scene file settings when using the Mini35? Do any of you use Thick mode instead of thin or boost the detail settings a bit at all? If so, what would you all recommend? I know there is a subtle softening of the image with a Mini35 but is to the point where you have to manipulate the DVX to gain some detail again?

Has anyone used a follow-focus system with Nikkor lenses and if so, what focus ring and gear ring size would you all recommend or have used successfully with Nikkor zooms (I'm using a 35-70mm and a 80-200mm)?

Thanks!
