Formatt FM-500 Mattebox w/ mini35

I was wondering if anyone here has used the Formatt FM-500 mattebox with a mini35 system? I got a set of Nikon primes and would love to have a good mattebox with it. Maybe it would be possible to add a rod system. This seems like a cheap solution. Thanks

Hi Dave,
I've got a Formatt box and looked into this also, but unforntunately, they don't make a rod attachment for it. It only uses a ring adapter to mount directly to the lens. I have one for a 72mm, but I don't know if they make anything but that size. With the Nikon primes, you can have various sizes, so a clamp-on box will work better. That's what I ended up using on my mini35. Since the mini has the rods already, it makes it pretty simple.

regards,
Matt
