Is there color bleeding on the edges of high contrast areas, like the The Ancient samples? I'm assuming that was due to low-light/high contrast and won't be present every time.

As far as the package, is it 45$(for parts) to make the adapter alone, or is it for the adapter, rails and macro?

Is there an estimated time of arrival for the guides? I'm assuming tuesday or wednesday?
I have not witnessed any of the contrast issues that are akin to the ancient footage. To be honest I was somewhat displeased with that footage, and hopefully some of the footage I have shot recently will be posted for everyone to see how it reacts contrast wise etc... I have some stuff that is shot from interior to and exterior out a window and nothing is blown out which I was absolutely amazed with.

45 is for the adapter alone, that is not rails and macro

I am not aware of a arrival date for the guides so I am apologetic for that, but you will be happy I can assure you.

Once again, thank you for the quick replies! I have one last question for you;

If I were to buy the 250 kit, does THAT come with the rails/macro/case? Or just the 500$ preassembled unit?

I'm really close to just ordering that so I can get all of the extra stuff.

I am fairly possitive those items are included but I will have to check, but I am fairly confident they do.

Ryan

James last week said to wait for the new web site before ordering, due to additional updates. I was told it would be up today the 18th. Any news? And should I just go ahead and order... Thanks

Before ordering what -the guide or the micro35? I don't know why you would wait to order the guide, since there is already a way to order it now.

Thanks Bryan, but unless I'm blind, the site has no information on it. A few pictures, but no info about what's in the guide.

"Can someone fill me in more on this guide and the adapter?" - your best bet is to read these threads and visit the site
The site lacks any real information at all - that's my problem. Before I buy I'd like to know what I'm buying. I shouldn't have to read the threads here - I'd like a nice succint, accurate - "what you get is..."

Quote:
"What does it offer and at what detail?" - not sure what you mean here
I meant, into what detail does it go about making the adapter? Every little thing? What to buy, where from, how to do it etc?

Quote:
"1) Is there a price for the adapter yet?" - James has quoted an introductory price of $500 for the micro35, and $45 for the guide (which is now shipping).
Thanks.

Quote:
"2) Does the guide tell you everything, including specific parts and where to get them? Or is it more like - "get a macro lens"."

I don't know (since I'm waiting for my guide to show up), but I would venture to guess it's pretty specific, and it includes the ground glass, which should make the quality of a DIY a zillion times better than if you took a shot at building it without the gg.
OK, so you get the Ground Glass with the guide? Nice.

Thanks for the reply
Aaron
