avoiding wrong doings
Am shooting a short on the XL2 with the mini35. Any tips on things to avoid or make sure to look out for? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No real problems with the equipment. Just make sure that the motor is on when you press record on the camera. Apart from that, shoot as you normally would. Sometimes the ground glass flares a bit more than film would, use a good matte box/lens shade.
Good luck |

Don't stop down your cine lens too far to risk seeing the groundglass texture. Make sure your backfocus is dead on, check it throughout the day. Be fastidious about focus (hope you have a good AC!). Don't pick up the Mini from the XL2's handle, use the Mini's handle.
