What 35mm adapters are now available?

I had a look in on this forum some months back, and was very interested in what might develop here.

Now I'm wondering (what with my imminent purchase of a HVR-Z1 and also some cheap Nikon lenses) what's been produced, or is about to be.

I could read all the threads here, but this is a rather big forum now, and I think maybe a lot of folk would benefit from hearing a summary of the current state of play.

So, what devices are available? What technical challenges still lie ahead? Who here has been fiendishly clever?

And, honestly, what drawbacks are there to these systems (portability, set-up time, noise, durability)?

My thanks in advance to any brave soul that takes this challenge on...
